CCTA 10th CONFERENCE ON CALORIMETRY AND THERMAL ANALYSIS of the POLISH SOCIETY OF CALORIMETRY AND THERMAL ANALYSIS (PTKAT) and 2nd JOINT CZECH - HUNGARIAN - POLISH - SLOVAKIAN THERMOANALYTICAL CONFERENCE 30 August - 3 September 2009 Zakopane, Poland The 10th Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (CCTA 10) is one of a series of appointments of the Polish Society of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis, traditionally in Zakopane (Poland). The main aim of the Conference is promoting debates, scientific discussions and exchange of ideas between researchers involved in calorimetry and thermal analysis. These techniques are used in various domains of scientific research. Such applications like research of new materials with interesting electric, magnetic, optical and catalytic properties, geosciences, coordination chemistry, food processing and biotechnology revealed possibilities for calorimetry and thermal analysis techniques. The main topics of the Conference are: theory and instrumentations; inorganic materials, kinetics and reactivity of solids; materials (organic, polymeric, soft); biological, medical, pharmaceutical, food systems; environmental and earth sciences; solution calorimetry and biocalorimetry; technical applications. The scientific program of Conference will consist of plenary lectures, as well as a large number of oral communications and posters presented during the four following sections: 1. Inorganic Materials and Chemistry 2. Organic Materials, Pharmaceuticals and Polymers 3. Kinetics and Reactivity of Solids 4. Biochemistry and Biocalorimetry 5. Solution Calorimetry 6. Environmental Protection 7. Theory and Instrumentation The organizing committee reserves the right to accept contributions and qualify them into the oral or poster sessions. Authors should give their preferences. The official languages of the conference are English and Polish. |
